This definitive account attempts to offer rare insights into the thought processes, aspirations and problems of Muslims in India. Based on his own experiences as a former Union Minister, Khurshid explains how Muslims are accepted in India in spite of several incitements and claims questioning their patriotism. While doing so, he also quotes many real-life examples of how the community has also shown its ability and commitment by making enormous contributions in numerous fields. Khurshid also does not shy away from addressing issues like terrorism, the place of women, and communal riots among others, thus making this volume a timely piece of forthrightness and sensitivity.
