About the Author
Anil K. Khandelwal, Ex-Chairman and Managing Director
of Bank of Baroda, can be counted as one of the top transformational
leaders of India. Under his dynamic leadership, Bank of Baroda became a
prime brand in the banking sector in India. As the Chairman and
Managing Director of Dena bank, he was successful in turning around the
stagnant public sector bank. His brand of leadership focuses on human
resources, customer-centric processes, technology and branding.
His three decades in banking and his leadership style are now legendary, with Harvard Business Review, Human Resource Development International and the book The India Way (2010) featuring his story and how he transformed Bank of Baroda. He is a successful author of four books on Human Resource Development (HRD), including one of the first books on HRD in the banking sector: Human Resources Development in Banks (1988).
A brilliant academic, Dr Khandelwal is a Ph.D. in Management with Bachelor’s degrees in Chemical Engineering and Law and Master’s degree in Business Administration. He is much sought after as a teacher and has lectured at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, Management Development Institute, Gurgaon and National Institute of Bank Management, Pune, India, and Asian Institute of Management, Manila, Philippines.
