For the young English educated Indian, from the big cities to the small towns, across gender and across all classes, Indias BPO boom changed their lives. They found themselves in the throes of an industry that matched their energy and insatiable hunger for action. Satindra Sen who was part of the team that set up one of the countrys first off-shoring ventures writes an engaging tale tinged with sharp humor and piercing insight of how things were and how they turned out to be.

About the Author

Satindra Sen has dabbled in many pursuits. From being a part of the engineer-MBA corporate routine to parenting hordes of opinionated and feisty young Indians as they set forth on an offshoring adventure and now running a corporate college festival in Gurgaon, facilitating (what he thinks are) meaningful corporate training sessions and taking nine-year old children adventure camping in the Himalayas-he has scarcely kept his finger out of any pie. He lives in Gurgaon with his family.

Industry leaders thoughts

'A really engrossing read, Satindra has in his own inimitable style charted out his experience over many years of hard work and combined it with the journey of ITES right from its birth to what it is today in a simple and humane manner. I loved the subtle humour that runs through the entire book in explaining complex issues as well as what would have been some difficult and heart stopping experiences.'
S. Varadarajan , Head HR and Corporate Affairs, Vistara Airlines

'A true story of a social transformation-triggered and accelerated by the emergence of an 'unknown' global service possibility. An economic force made real by the energy, hunger and drive in the 'unknown' young work force of India. It all comes alive and sparkles with Satindra's wit, humor and candid expression!'
Kush Kamra, Senior Vice President - GSS & Chairman & MD - GOSC, Metlife

'Current, relevant and with a level of curiosity that's gripping and infectious, Satindra's attempt at dealing with the lives of those involved in India's fascinating BPO and ITES industry is a success! I'm hooked!'
Sameer Bhandari, Client Executive & VP-2, Healthcare, EXL Service Inc, Austin, Texas Area
